San Jose State University's Electrical Engineering programme is better than New York University's program. As per the unofficial source, San Jose State University ranked #15 for providing the best undergraduate Engineering program, where New York University stands at # 66 position. In addition, the acceptance criteria at San Jose are easier (with an 80% acceptance rate) than at New York University (with a 9% acceptance rate). Well, some engineering colleges and universities may have their own requirements such as the student must be between 16 and 28 years of age to be able to get admission to BTech Electrical Engineering. But, this is less likely to happen. There is no such minimum or maximum age limit to pursue Electrical Engineering courses in general. If you are genuinely inclined towards the field and have the right attitude and skills, nobody can stop you from achieving your goals irrespective of your age.

If you have completed your Class 12 with Science stream, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as the primary subjects and scored around 50 to 60 percent marks, you can go ahead and pursue a degree course in Electrical Engineering. You must have a strong hold on Mathematics and Physics subjects.
