The Electrical Engineering course duration usually depends on the course level. The courses in Electrical Engineering are available at the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. The Diploma courses are usually 3 years long, which students can even pursue after completing Class 10. Diploma holders in Electrical Engineering can also apply for lateral entry admission to B Tech Electrical Engineering and enter directly in the second year of the course.

In Telangana, a number of good colleges offer M.Tech courses in Electrical Engineering or Energy and Power Systems. Notable colleges are Osmania University in Hyderabad offering M.Tech in Electrical Engineering with specialisation in Power Systems, and the University College of Engineering, Osmania University that offers M.Tech in Power Systems and Energy. Hello! To get admission for Electrical Engineering in Nashik for 2024, you need to clear the MHT-CET exam and participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Based on your MHT-CET rank, you can apply to colleges like K. Wagh Institute of Engineering or Matoshri College of Engineering.

Regarding free B.Tech seats, while some reserved category candidates may be eligible for fee waivers or scholarships, free seats are not common. Check with individual colleges for any such schemes.

Both these branches are good and best in their respective fields and offer good career opportunities to students. But if we compare both of these, civil engineering is slightly better for both private and government jobs. Civil engineering has significantly more demand in infrastructure development projects. Civil engineering is considered better and have more demand in government sector while electrical engineering is better for private sector due to rise in private sector industries. This entirely depends upon individual pursuing this course. Some people would find it easy because of their passion and inclination towards field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, along with their experience at academic institution offering course. Other students might find it challenging and hard on basis of their understanding and grasp of course syllabus and their interests.

At 75, percentile its very difficult to get Electrical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur as the cuttoffs are quite higher. At you Percentile your rank would be somewhere around 2 to 2.5 Lacs in general categeory, But to get electrical in NIT Hamirpur you need something around 60k. 

Thre are chances, if you belong to reserved categeroies, such as SC, ST, OBC. For that you will have to check the cuttofs at Siksha or some other reputable sources.

According to current rankings, the best government college for electrical and civil engineering courses in UP or nearby states is IIT Kanpur. It is consistently considered the top engineering college in Uttar Pradesh.
