Candidates securing a rank between 7500- 27500 are eligible for admissions in Vellore campus. The closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering (with Bioinformatics as specialisation) went up till 7500 while for Computer Science and Engineering, it went up till 15000. As per the discussion with a current student of VIT, the general cutoff for VIT Chennai campus is given below:
CSE cutoff was around 8,000 rank
CSE with specialisation in Bio was around 12,000
IT cutoff was around 9,000 rank

Hello Palash Choubey, the counselling for JEE Mains as well as for JEE Advanced these conducted at the same time. This is because many students who are eligible for admission in NIT appear in JEE Advanced examination and if they clear that exam with good marks they may get admission in IIT and in that case this if any seat is allotted to them in NIT may go waste. Even though you have not mentioned your percentile which is the main criteria these days for deciding the cut off as announced by National testing agency, I am sure that you have scored more than the required percentile. SAGE deemed to be a university located at Bhopal conducts its own entrance exam and gives admission based on the results of this test.
