The best college for mechatronics in Tamil Nadu is PSG Technology, Coimbatore. So if you want to get a seat there through counseling, you need to have a cut-off of 196 and above (general category) or 190 and above for other categories.
All the best.

As the ranks have been declared and the counseling process has also been completed, you may specify your all India rank or category ranks and home state so that I may tell your possibilities.
If you have not registered for counseling you cannot get any NIT.

There are 3 attempts for JEE Mains and 2 for JEE Advanced and it is applicable only in the consecutive years (the next next years).
I'm not sure about CET but I think you can give it 3 times (for SC, ST category) or 2 times (for general category).

There are caste wise cut-off marks to qualify JEE Mains and advanced. It varies every year.
But it is advisable to score at least 250 and above in JEE Mains to get a good NIT, IIIT or GFTI.
In JEE Advanced, you need to have an AIR of 3000 and below as there is no caste reservation like JEE Mains.

JEE (joint entrance examination) consists of 2 papers namely main and advanced.
The syllabi is NCERT class 11th and 12th physics, chemistry and maths.
In JEE Mains, there are totally 90 questions in which each correct answer is given +4 and a wrong answer is given - 1.
The questions will be generally easy compared to advanced but you need to score at least 250 and above.
In JEE Advanced the paper is unpredictable. The syllabi is the same but the total marks and the negative marking vary.
It is really tough and it is competitive too.
All the best.

If you have missed CSAB special round counselling, then there is no other way. Now, the only way to take admission is through management quota but in only private colleges.
