If you are an IIT graduate with a BTech degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering and have an overall CGPA of 8 and above or more than 75% marks, you can get direct admission for M.Tech Communications Engineering.
Not all IITs offer this exemption so you need to check at their official website to confirm the same. IIT Delhi does offer this option to IIT graduates. Having said that, rest of the candidates must have a valid GATE score for admission to M.Tech Communications Engineering at the top IITs in India.

This approach was implemented by the GATE conducting bodies to test students' skills and knowledge in different subjects of their discipline. The two-paper combination is categorised into primary and secondary, where candidates can apply their knowledge in the related field.
