The GATE scorecard is valid for three years. Within these three years, qualified candidates can use the scorecard to apply for admission to various IITs, NITs, and other reputed colleges. A valid scorecard can also be used to apply for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) jobs. Candidates can follow the steps below to download the GATE scorecard -

  • Visit the official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in

  • Click on the GATE candidate login or GOAPS portal

  • On the login page, enter the required credentials - enrollment ID and password.

  • The GATE scorecard will be displayed on the screen. 

  • Check all the details and download the scorecard.

The GATE 2026 result can be checked on the GATE's 2026 official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The result will be declared on March 19. Students who have appeared the exam can check their result using their enrollment ID and password.

The GATE cutoff is evaluated based on the sum of the marks secured by all the candidates divided by the total number of students.

Candidates can challenge the GATE answer key in the following way -

  • Visit the official website of GATE or the GOAPS portal

  • Click on the answer key link and then select the “raise an objection” option

  • Choose the question you want to challenge

  • Pay the application fee for challenging the question (each question carries INR 500) to object. 

  • Submit the response.

The GATE answer key will be released after the completion of the exam. The GATE 2026 exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The expected answer key release date is around the first week of March.

No, you cannot challenge the GATE response sheet, as it is meant to evaluate the probable scores. GATE answer keys can be used to challenge the responses. The answer key of GATE will be available on the prescribed dates. The response sheet of GATE will be available in PDF format and can be downloaded from the GOAPS portal.
