HITSEEE exam is not as tough as JEE Main. The questions asked in the exam are generally based on the higher secondary courses, which are 11th and 12th. Students should review Physics, Chemistry, and Math concepts and topics from Class 11 and 12.

Yes, it is necessary to qualify JEE Main before to be able to apply for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is the only entrance exam that opens the gates of IIT admissions in undergraduate courses leading to a bachelor's degree, Integrated master's degree, Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Science, or Architecture. Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced is a national-level exam and is the second level that the candidates need to qualify to be part of IIT alumni, the first being JEE Main.
