As per the authorities, the level of Assam PAT will be similar to the H.S.L.C level (10th standard) syllabus. No offiicial syllabus will be released. Candidates will have to prepare for the entrance examination based on the official H.S.L.C level (10th standard) syllabus. Various topics of Mathematics and Syllabus has to be studied to be prepared for Assam PAT. Candidates will be able to simulataneously prepare for Assam PAT and H.S.L.C level (10th standard).

Assam PAT will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test at various centres. During the exam, the candidates will have to attempt objective multiple-type questions based on the official Assam PAT syllabus. Each question will have four options, out of which the correct one has to be marked carefully on the OMR sheet. After completing the examination, the OMR sheet has to be submitted to the authorities present at the centre. No extra time will be given to complete the Assam PAT paper.

The authorities will release the Assam PAT exam pattern online at the official website. No other mode will be used to release the exam pattern of Assam PAT. Through the Assam PAT exam pattern, the candidates will be able to know the details on how the entrance examination will be held by the authorities.

The Student or Candidates must clear 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Maths, and English to be eligible for the university.
The Individual can take admission by taking any one of the later exams i.e. CET, JEE Main, COMED-K or CMRUAT

CUSAT CAT exam is much easier than JEE Mains. Although the total number of questions in CUSAT CAT is more than JEE Main, the difficulty level of questions is low in comparison to JEE. The syllabus of both exams are same and include class 11 and 12 PCM topics.
