Yes. Diploma in Engineering colleges in Mumbai are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. AICTE approval means the course is valid across India for jobs and higher education.

Admission to these colleges usually based on Class 12 marks basis. There are about 5 top Engineering colleges in Mumbai. Of these, 3 are government colleges and 2 are private colleges. Top colleges are IIT Bombay, ICT Mumbai, VJTI Mumbai, Bharati Vidyapeeths College of Engineering and Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering.
