I don't know the exact answer you are looking for.But I can tell you that cut off for CSE and IT is a combination of 12th percentage+your entrance exam score.
You never gets to know what score you made.
There's criteria of preferences which you fill during your admission form, and on the basis of your merit, and availability of seats you are called for counseling session.
But there are many seats for CS and IT.
In my batch there were 116 IT and 266 CS students.
Make a good percentage in 12th and appear in entrance exam well(don't worry much about it,you can get the sample papers from website itself).

There are average chances of you getting into Amrita University Coimbatore campus with that rank. If you happen to be of Tamilnadu Origin then you have nothing to fear about as you will surely get a seat there with minimum of 50% scholarship. You will surely get into the other campuses with a 90% scholarship. As you wish to pursue CS ist is highly recommend to join Amrita University, Amritapuri Campus. There are various factors for this recommendation, like the number of active student clubs in Amritapuri Campus for CS students is higher and much better than the other campuses.

The admission procedure is as follows
Your percentage score of Diploma is the only criterion for admission to COEP. Of course, there are Caste based reservations in these seats as well. If a branch has an intake of 60 seats in the 1st year then there are 20% of seats added in that class at the start of 2nd year. This makes 12 seats for Diploma graduates in a class having a strength of 60.
For COEP Mechanical, there are 120 seats at 1st-year intake so there are 24 seats (20%) at the start of 2nd year for Diploma
