As a student from GIBS Bangalore, I personally found programs like IRE (Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship) and CPMP (Certificate Program in Management Practices) very useful because they gave us exposure beyond regular classroom learning.

I used to actively participate in IRE activities, and it helped me think more practically. Instead of just studying concepts from books, we got opportunities to work on ideas, presentations, projects, discussions, and activities that helped us understand how businesses actually function.

Because, for me:

• CPMP helped us learn skills that are useful in corporate environments

For me, IRE and CPMP were some of the best parts of the GIBS experience because they helped bridge the gap between academics and the real business world. By the time I completed the program, I felt much more confident and industry-ready than when I started.

As a student at GIBS Bangalore, one thing I really appreciated was how involved the faculty members were in student life. They don't just come, take classes, and leave. Whether it was orientation, college events, presentations, projects, or mentoring sessions, the faculty were always around to guide and support us.

Because, For me:

• They were approachable whenever we needed help or guidance

• During orientation, they made new students feel comfortable and welcomed

• They actively encouraged us to participate in events and activities

• Regular mentoring sessions helped with academics as well as career-related questions

• They were genuinely interested in seeing students grow and perform well

What I liked most was that the faculty felt more like mentors than just professors. Their involvement made it easier to learn, ask questions, and feel confident throughout the program.

Yes, GIBS Business School helps its students to set up and run many different kinds of academic events (e.g., academic and cultural events) so that they can get real-world experience along with professional management skills, all with guidance from their faculty and staff.

Through this process, the important steps to organizing and executing student-led events include the following:

• The event is planned and executed with the assistance of faculty who serve as mentors in helping students learn how to plan and execute an event.
• Student event coordinators take on the full scope of event planning, including coordination, budget development, marketing, and logistics (if required).

From my experience, extracurricular activities at GIBS helped me a lot because college life was not only about classes and assignments. I personally joined many clubs, participated in fests, events, competitions, and different activities, and I feel these experiences helped me become more confident and active.

What I liked is that participating in clubs and activities gave me chances to interact with different people, work in teams, and learn many things beyond academics. Personally, I feel these experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally.
