GRE Dates are available throughout the year. Applicants can book GRE slot for the same day (If slot is available). It's rare that an applicant finds available slot for the same day.

The Official Guide to the GRE by ETS is the best book. It has real questions from past exams. For math, use the Manhattan Prep 5 lb. Book. It has tons of practice problems. For words, use Word Power Made Easy or Magoosh flashcards. Don't buy too many books, just finish one properly.

Standardized test scores like ACT and SAT for undergraduate programs and GRE and GMAT for post graduate programs, are in general not mandatory for admission in Deakin University. But some programs might require these scores as programme specific requirements. The University focuses more on academic and English language requirements.
