For admission to BArch at IIT Kharagpur, you do need to take the JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is only open to those who first pass the JEE Main. The final selection of students happens through JoSAA Counselling. You cannot be admitted to BArch at IIT Kharagpur unless you pass JEE Advanced.

In order to study in IIT Kharagpur's BArch programme, you must first clear JEE Advanced and participate in JoSAA Counselling. If you wish to be eligible, you must score 75% in core subjects in Class 12. Your JEE Advanced rank and assigned seat are what determine your choice of institute. It may be tough, but it offers plenty of valuable opportunities to architecture trainees.

Although the cutoff will be calculated after the declaration of results but according to past trends, cutoff for General students was around 90 percentile, so assuming this year the same trend will be followed. However getting addmission in good institute doesn't depends on only CAT score. You need to score good marks in class 10th and 12th and graduation as well. Personal interview plays a major role for getting admission.

I don't know about the placement scenarios for PhD from TIFR Bombay, but for IIT Kharagpur, pursuing PhD can be a very good choice, as IIT Kharagpur has Top Research facilities. if you want to do research, you will get the best resources of the country, and also many PhD students get placed during the Campus placement cycle, so there are various Job opportunities. And, a PhD from IIT KGP is flexible than any other institute.
