For B.Tech (Marine Engineering) at Mumbai Port Campus, the IMU CET 2023 cutoff ranks for General category were around 150 to 1,800 in Rounds 1 and 2, with the third round closing at about 2,000. For EWS candidates, the cutoff ranks extended up to 5,400 in Round 2. So, if you're aiming for this campus, a rank within 1,800 (General) or around 5,400 (EWS) !

The exact cutt for The Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test for B.Sc Nautical Science in TS Chanakya cannot be estimated but the closing rank round can range between 2500 to 3500.

The cutoff in TS Chanakya through IMU CTE for general category lies above 2500.

Having an IMU CET 2024 ranking of 9,000 under the general category, finding admission in Marine Engineering at leading institutions such as IMU Kolkata or IMU Chennai might prove tough, considering that their earlier closing ranks were well under 1,000.
But you may also look at other good institutions whose cutoff ranks are higher.  For example, some of the affiliated colleges and private maritime institutions have had closing ranks ranging beyond 9,000 in previous years.

With 80 in PCM and an IMU CET rank of 11037, your selection chances at Sir Mohamed Yusuf Seamen Welfare Foundation are based on the cutoffs for the current year, category reservations, and available seats. As cutoffs differ every year, it is advisable to contact the college directly or check last year trends. In the event of higher competition, check for backup plans or contact the admission office and ask for the possibility of getting in through the management quota or other admission sources. Monitor counselling updates and stand prepared with any required documents in order to conduct a smooth process of admission.

A good rank to get admitted to TS Chanakya via IMU CET would be a rank within the top 500 to 1000. But the exact ranking may depend on the number of applicants and the specific course applied for. This institute the get into this institute you must get a rank below 1000.

No, you cannot take admission for DNS at  Indian Maritime University  without sponsorship from any shipping company. Qualifying IMU CET alone is not sufficient in order to get admission in DNS. So in order to get admission, you need to look for a sponsorship form any shipping company along with passing IMU CET. All the courses at IMU does'nt require sponsorship exept DNS only. Your score in the entrance exam (IMU CET) should also be good in order to easily qualify in the merit and get admission.
