Further, the course is divided into six semesters and offered in full-time mode. Yes, the counselling fee is refundable for the BSc course at the IMU Chennai campus. Candidates whose names have not been published in any of IMU's admission lists will be entitled to a refund after the deducting of 10% of the counselling fee. The amount will be refunded to the account from which the payment is made.

Basically, In order to encourage and motivate girl cadets to join the maritime career, deserving girl students are being given scholarships by the industry. fee concession for girl students is under consideration by the Government of India.
