Currently, the counselling process is going on for admission to the BSc course at IMU Chennai, which has been released. In this Chennai campus, candidates who qualify for IMU CET can register themselves for the counselling process after the release of the IMU CET list. The application form usually starts in the month of April/ May every academic year. For, the academic batch 2025, the last date to fill out the IMU CET Application form was 2 May 2025.

The primary eligibility requirements for admissions to BSc courses at IMU Chennai are that candidates must complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream with at least an aggregate of 60% and 50% in English at the Class 10 & 12 levels. Yes, IMU Chennai does offer a BSc course for the duration of three years. The campus only offers one specialisation in the BSc course, i.e., Nautical Science. Further, the course is divided into six semesters and offered in full-time mode. To get admission into this course, candidates must complete the basic eligibility requirement, secure valid scores in the entrance exam, and then go through a counselling process.

For B.Tech (Marine Engineering) at Mumbai Port Campus, the IMU CET 2023 cutoff ranks for General category were around 150 to 1,800 in Rounds 1 and 2, with the third round closing at about 2,000. For EWS candidates, the cutoff ranks extended up to 5,400 in Round 2. So, if you're aiming for this campus, a rank within 1,800 (General) or around 5,400 (EWS) !

For Maritime University, Candidates need to complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects from a recognised board. Plus, they should attain 50% marks in English subject in 10+2. There is a provision for Lateral Entry also, to know more about it you can check the college website.
