The placement data regarding PhD placementsat IIT Bombay are currently unavailable. The overall IIT Bombay placement data shows that in 2024, around 683 students were placed. The data claimedthat majority of the students placed were placed in the IT/Software sector. However, which course had the most amount of placements as well as howmany PhD students got placed isstill unknown.

For admission to the BSc course at IIT Bombay, candidates are first required to complete the basic eligibility criteria, which state that applicants must complete their Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For reserved categories (SC, ST, and PwD), the minimum aggregate is 65%. Further, all the IIT aspirants have to appear for JEE Main and afterwards, JEE Advanced. Only the top 2,25,000 scores in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE Advanced.

IIT Bombay M.Tech admission is granted based on merit in GATE exam. Candidates seeking admission must have a valid score in the national-level entrance examination. The aspirants who meet the cutoff mark become eligible for the COAP counselling for seat allotment. The 2024 cut off for IIT bombay for M.Tech programs based on GATE scores, General All india category ranged between 325 to 750 depending on the category. For computer Science the cut-off score was 750 and chemical engineering it was 600.

The rank required for getting an admission in IIT Bombay depends upon the branch. For high competitive branch like Computer Science engineering a rank around 100 is considered safe. For electrical engineering and mechanical engineering a rank inside 500 and 1500 is required. The cut off rank also depends upon the students category.

IIT Bombay BTech tuition fee is INR 8 Lacs.

IIT Bombay offers BTech course in different specialisations and as an integrated programme. Its fee structure is cumulative of various components, such as tuition fees, caution money, and more. Students who get a seat allocated in the counselling have to pay the required fee amount. This is inclusive of tuition fees for the integrated programme.

It must be noted that the given fee details are as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.
