No, you can't take admission in M.Tech at IIIT Delhi without appearing for the GATE exam. The institute offers this two-year full-time programme at the postgraduate level. Aspirants must meet the basic eligibility of passing graduation in the relevant stream from a recognised university in addition to clearing the GATE exam. For seat allotment, candidates have to register for the CCMT counselling.

IIIT Delhi offers M.Tech programme at the PG-level. Selection is based on GATE scores and applicants who get seleced have to pay the required fee amount. IIIT Delhi M.Tech tuition fees range from INR 3.7 Lacs to INR 6 lakh. This fee amount is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.

IIIT Delhi offers four-year BTech course in nearly 10 specialisations. The mode of study is full-time. Admission is granted based on JEE score followed by JAC Delhi counselling. Mentioned below are some of the available course specialisations:
- CSE
- ECE
- CS and AI
- CS and Biosciences
- CS and Economics, etc.

Candidates who meet the IIIT Delhi BTech cutoff have to take part in JAC Delhi counselling. The seat allotment procedure for the UG programme is carried out by this counselling body. The Joint Admission Committee (JAC) releases the seat allotment result. Once seats are allotted, the candidates get the allotment letters.

No, you cannot get into BTech at IIIT Delhi without a valid JEE Main score. The institute offer course admission based on the national-level exam scores only. Candidates who meet the cutoff mark have to participate in JAC Delhi counselling. The seat allotment is done in this admission round. Candidates who get a seat can pay the admission fee amount to confirm their candidature.

UCEED rank should be within top ~1000 for good chance

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, accepts the JEE Main entrance exam, followed by JAC Delhi counselling for BTech admission. As per the IIIT Delhi JAC Delhi cutoff 2025, the Round 1 closing ranks varied between 7429 and 31355 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Of all the courses, the most competitive was Computer Science and Economics. For IIIT Delhi branch-wise cutoff 2025 for Round 1, refer to the table below. The placement rate recorded during IIIT Delhi placement 2025 was 88.3%. Overall placement percentage in 2024 and 2023 was 89.32% and 96.58%.

I would suggest visiting the IIIT Delhi website or even calling their admission office to know if there will be any late application or spot rounds available. Colleges sometimes run spot rounds when there are unused seats after holding the main rounds, so there is no harm in asking whether this option might be available. Also, approaching the admissions office could give you some information on how to go about it, even if it's not the usual route. If none of these prove to be successful, you could attempt preparing for next year's UCEED and making sure that you go through all the application processes well in advance so as not to miss
