If you have not mentioned in the application form for JEE Mains examination that you are from EWS category then your merit will be only from general category and not from EWS category. This being the case you may not be able to appear for JEE Advanced examination if your percentile is not above the cut off that will be declared shortly by National testing agency. In any case at such a belated stage one cannot change the category since the time for it is already over. However you may do it again next year if you decide to appear for these examinations.
