You cannot get a CSE branch at this rank at NIT. But if you will be a home state member then based on your SC category rank of 14900 in JEE Mains, here are some NITs where you might have a chance of getting admission in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch:

  1. NIT Meghalaya: Home state cutoff - 42574

  3. NIT Mizoram: Home state cutoff - 48294

Please note that these are approximate cutoff ranks based on previous years, and actual cutoffs may vary. It’s essential to keep an eye on the official JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) website for the most up-to-date information on NIT cut

There are two sorts of JEE Main cutoffs: the qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced and the institute admission cutoff. The NTA releases the JEE Main qualifying cutoff, which takes the form of percentile scores, along with the results. JEE Main cutoffs are released by NTA for six categories: unreserved (CRL), Gen-EWS, Open-PwD, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) announces the JEE Main admission cutoff, which is presented as an All India Rank.

Yes, you can get into NITs with a 90 percentile in JEE Mains. For the OBC NCL category, a percentile of 90 is considered good enough to secure admission in NITs. The cutoff for NITs varies by category, but generally, candidates with a percentile between 85 to 95 can get admission to NITs.

It is difficult to get to admission into PICT, Pune with a 73 percentile in JEE Mains. PICT is a reputed engineering college in Pune and admissions is very competitive. The cutoff for the desired branch may be much higher than 73 percentile. Looking at previous year's cutoffs , the cutoff for branches like CSE or IT at PICT could be above 90 percentile. If you belong to any category that receives reservation benefits, the cutoff for your category may be slightly lower. PICT also considers scores in MHT CET (Maharashtra CET) for admissions. A high score in MHT CET can increase your chances.

With a percentile of 79.114 in JEE Mains, you can consider the following colleges for the Computer Science (CS) branch:

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur

These colleges are known to offer the CS branch and may be within reach with a percentile around 79.114 in JEE Mains. It's advisable to check the specific cutoff ranks for each college and branch to determine your eligibility for admission.

With the rank of 6 Lakh in JEE mains, it's quite difficult to get admission in top tier college. Some colleges like Jaypee University, Amity University, Sharda University, LPU have option for CSE. Both Jaypee and Chitkara are good choice for pursuing CSE. If you prefer industry - oriented curriculum with strong placement opportunities, Chitkara University is best option.
