With a JEE Mains rank of 4.5 Lacs and an EWS rank of 70,000, consider colleges like Chandigarh University, Punjab Engineering College (PEC) and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET). Although getting into top institutions can be difficult at this value, these colleges offer quality education and decent internship opportunities. Research their entry criteria, thresholds and fee structures. Also check Punjab State Engineering Colleges and Private Institutes for Admissions.

Unfortunately, admission to any National Institute of Technology (NIT) is not possible if you have a score of 74.18 percentile in JEE Mains. To get admission at NIT, a candidate must have a score of 90 percentile or above in the JEE Mains exam. The eligibility criteria are the same for appearing in the JEE advanced exam.

No, it is not possible to get admission into DBIT Mumbai for the B.Tech programme without JEE Main or MHT CET. DBIT Mumbai offers a full-time BE/BTech course of 4 years duration. Available in 4 specialisations, students can get into this course on the basis of a valid score in the JEE Main exam.
Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

If you are not able to clear JEE, but still feel that engineering is your true calling, then you need to look at some other options for engineering beyond the IITs and NITs. While JEE may be a tough exam to crack, there are many state engineering exams such as UPJEEE, WBJEE, COMEDK, MHTCET, TNEA, etc.Students aspiring for admission to top NITs like NIT Ahmedabad, NIT Calicut, etc. need to clear the JEE Main cut-off for top NITs to grab a seat in these institutes. Admissions into the B.Tech courses in all the NITs are based on the JEE Main exam.
