In order to succeed in JEE Main and Advanced, eleventh graders must have a reference book for each topic in addition to NCERT texts. You can begin studying maths with Cengage, chemistry with NCERT, and physics with HC Verma Part 1 in class 11.

The greatest books for practising JEE Main and Advanced past year questions (PYQ) are Arihant and Disha. You may also get the JEE previous year's questions in PDF format.

You can also download the PYQs of JEE Main on the official site of the JEE Main 2024.

A percentile score of 83 in JEE Mains 2023 is predicted to result in an EWS category rank of 26,000–27,900 and a CRL rank of 153,450–172,500, according to one source.

If a candidate is ranked 500th overall or 50th among EWS candidates, they generally rank 49th in the category.

In 2024, admission to NITs will require a percentile of 85–90 for OBC and EWS applicants, and 95–97 for general category candidates.

A list of students from the general EWS category who took the JEE paper is known as the EWS rank in JEE Mains. Those who took the JEE paper are included in the common rank list, or CRL rank.

With a JEE Mains percentile of 61 as an SC candidate, you have the chances to secure admission in government colleges depending on your state. While admission to NITs may be competitive, there are opportunities to gain entry into decent state government colleges based on your percentile.

It is advisable to explore state-specific counseling procedures and consider alternative colleges that align with your academic goals and preferences. Additionally, staying informed about cutoff trends and participating actively in counseling processes can enhance your chances of securing a seat in a government college.

With a JEE Mains percentile of 95.6, being in the general category, and having a home state quota, you have a good chance of getting admission to NIT Surathkal.

The cutoff for NITs can vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants and their scores in exams. While the exact cutoff for the current session is yet to be released by JoSAA, your percentile is in a competitive position for admission to NIT Surathkal.

It is advisable to stay updated with official announcements and counseling procedures to maximize your chances of securing a seat at NIT Surathkal.
