It is not impossible to crack Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in first attempt, infact most toppers of the examination have cleared the examination with flying colours in the first attempt itself .

Consistency is the key. Studying for 10 hours day and then not studying for another 10 days is nothing but a waste of time. It is suggested that students make a timetable, according to their comfort and follow it consistently. 

Tests, Tests and Frequent Tests : No amount of learning will help if you haven't practiced enough on the topics. As soon as a chapter or topic of any subject is completed, start giving tests of that topic. Analyse your mistakes and work on them . 

Revision: It is the revision that decides your score, give mock tests, revise from notes and repeat the same till your examination.

The most sufficient time to prepare for the Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE) is two years, which is class 11th and 12th. 

However the minimums time that one needs to complete the syllabus of the examination is six months. 

4 months should be dedicated to completing the syllabus. Candidates should focus on basics like Vectors, Trigonometry, Integrated - Differentiation and graphs in Physics. For mathematics, topics like Algebra, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate geometry, calculus, Vectors and 3D geometry should be practiced enough. For chemistry, practice as many questions as you can for physical chemistry, by heart NCERT for inorganic chemistry and revise enough times to not mess up the Organic chemistry. 

Last two months should be saved for revision and mock tests. Join an online or offline institute for test series and mock tests .
