The ground situation is such that with your percentile of about 64, you are not likely to get seat in any college for the branch of CSE. This is so because almost every student gives this branch as the first choice and as a result the cutoffs all the closing ranks for this branch are pretty stiff. In IIT Mumbai the closing rank for this branch is less than 100. However, if you are interested only in this branch then I can suggest you that the only way forward is to seek it under management quota of private deemed to the universities. You will need to contact these institutions individually and come to know about the process they want t

Hello Monish Parikh, I can understand and appreciate your angst and the anxiety about the results of session 2 of the JEE Mains examination conducted by National testing agency. The 6 digit figure that you have mention here is not making any sense to me. As to your query of where you can get admission and the list of such possible colleges I would like to advise you to wait for few days for National testing agency to declare final results. So that you will come to know your ranking and percentile in the all India list. Once you have this information then you can use the college predictor designed by Shiksha based on the results of prev

Hello Kolipaka Padma, yes, indeed. Do not worry. All the students who have appeared for session 2 of JEE Mains examination will definitely get their results from National testing agency when it declares the results for this session 2. When National testing agency will declare overall results at that point in time your best performance in either session 1 over session 2 will be taken into account and based on this your final percentile and ranking will also be declared along with other students by National testing agency. This is expected to happen in next couple of days and I would request you to have some patience and wait this period

Hello Harsh Baviskar, it's very nice to SEE that you want to know about the best engineering colleges across India for seeking admission in one of them. However the ground reality is that your present time is a bit lower than perhaps what is required by a student from general category. Last year cutoff for general branch was just above percentile of 88 whereas you have a percentile of about 62. This perhaps indicates that you are chances of clearing the cutoff are quite low and this intern will debar from entering the process of admission in any of the NIT or equivalent institutes. From your name it appears that you are from Maharashtr

The last year admitted rank in NIT Srinagar was 128146 under J&K home state quota. So chances of getting NIT Srinagar are very less.

Government college is not possible at this percentile. You need above 90 percentile for government college admission.

JEE Mains cutoffs are different in every colleges but for a safe side one should at least get 90 percentile to secure seat in CSE branch.
