As per your JEE Mains percentile, your rank would be somewhere around 130000, therefore it's difficult to get into NIT or IITs. But don't lose hope, now a days, there are many private colleges and universities, which offer equally good education and placements. Being LPU alumni, I would recommend LPU for the B.Tech CSE course. Engineering Programs at LPU are in the same league as BITS Pilani & many IITs. As per the world ranking, 2022 LPU has been ranked 10th amongst the top universities of India in engineering subjects. Yes, why not you definitely give JEE Main 2018. You can attempt JEE Main 3 times and JEE Advance 2 times.

You should apply for LPU NEST exam. The highest Package Availed by Engineering (CSE) Student The highest package offered during LPU placements 2022 stood at INR 64 LPA. Firstly VIT admission is based on viteee entrance exam. So you need to apply for the exam and do well in the entrance exam. After that based rank you got in entrance exam admission is taken . The only way to get admission to VIT is through entrance exam only not with JEE rank. But they will consider JEE rank and percentile who applied for viteee exam.
