There is no difference between regular BCA and lateral entry BCA if the course is done from a recognised university or institute. Lateral entry BCA graduates can get jobs which a regular BCA graduate get. Indian IT industry does not prefer BCA for entry level developer and testers role. BCA graduates may get a junior developer or application support jobs. Syllabus of BCA includes courses on computer languages, data structure, databases and networking, etc. BCA degree course programme is primarily focused on in the field of computer applications. Hello Anjali,
It's very nice to see that you are interested in pursuing graduation in engineering after completion of your Diploma in engineering. The fees charged by majority of colleges for different branches of engineering is almost same. Though it differs widely with institute or university. Fees in general vary from about 2.5 L to 5L for four year course. For lateral admission it would be proportional to three years since fee is same for direct or lateral admission students.
