Yes you can, get admission lateral entry in the second year of M. After PG Diploma are provided by many colleges.

Yes, their are some colleges that allow B.Tech lateral entry and the most popular colleges Chitkara University as well as Chandigarh University provide the admission in lateral entry.

Eligible candidates need to appear for the IUET (Entrance Test) conducted by the University.

Lateral entry is basically entering a college while having completed the previous year or semester in another college. It is possible in some universities and colleges to get lateral entry but not many of them provide such facility. Also it depends on the course one is studying, usually lateral entry is seen in B.Tech courses. Some universities providing lateral entry are Mumbai University, Mizoram University, Maharashtra Institute of Technology and other as well. I hope you find this helpful.
