Yes, you can. After fulfilling the eligibilty requirements of the university with a minimum of 50 percentage in your Diploma - student can take a lateral entry into aerospace engineering.

Yes, Mumbai University indeed allows admission for Diploma holders directly into 2nd year of engineering. This is called as lateral mode of admission. The whole process is controlled by Directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra and the process is centralized and very transparent.

The college offers lateral entry in only B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. I would recommend you to contact the college officials or visit the college website for details.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed SSC or HSC and a diploma in engineering or technology or B.Sc or its equivalent from a recognized institution with 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Provided that students belonging to B.Sc category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering.Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with second-year subjects.
