Hello Vijaykumar,
As you have completed pursuing Diploma in mechanical engineering from an AICTE approved college, you are eligible for lateral admission into second year B.Tech course. For the same, you need to appear for LEET entrance examination. I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Hi,
Universities abroad match the course credits for completing your Bachelors so choose the country and university, look for their requirements and apply. You may also write to the international admission officer to guide you.

Hello Ravi,
Normally admissions are given based on your performance. If you have merit then you can choose the college of your choice. If you are low on merit then you have to select from a limited choice.

A lateral entry admission is one where a student directly enters in the second year of his engineering, MCA or MBA, etc degrees. Each degree has its own admission criterion. For example for B.Tech, lateral entry candidate must have completed a Diploma in their respective branch or B.Sc in PCM to be eligible for the lateral entry programme. Candidates after completing their Diploma, have to appear for LEET (a special examination for enrollment in the engineering colleges offering lateral entry for B.Tech). Few states conduct their own LEET examination.
