The majority of private colleges in many states do offer this facility of lateral entry. You will have to check this with the college.

From different sources, I tried to find out but everybody says this establishment does not give lateral entry. However, if you can check directly with office of VIT, Vellore, it would be better. I am giving link that may be useful:

Normally, the state allows only domiciled students holding diploma to seek LEET perhaps because total number of seats available are less.

No it's not hard, it's simple. Although, the syllabus is wide but not so typical if you have studied diploma engineering seriously then it will be easy to crack as normal basic questions come from electric, mechanical, computer science and electronics engineering.

After completing diploma engineering in any branch from any recognized AICTE approved, only you can get admission in 2nd year of engineering. For that, you will have to appear in LEET exam conducted by each state govt. & some deemed universities also.

After completing diploma engineering in any branch, you can get admission in 2nd year of engineering. For that, you will have to appear in LEET exam conducted by each state's government and some deemed universities also. In mostly colleges, only 10% seats of total are available for diploma engineering students so work hard.
All the best.
