You have got excellent scores Diploma exam. I feel you will do well and get lateral admission. However, if this does not happen, you can appear for CET / JEE Mains for pursuing engineering>

Hello Ashu,
Yes, almost every state offers lateral entry in 2nd year of engineering for those, who have done Diploma. You will have to appear for entrance exam conducted for this purpose.

PEC University Chandigarh does not have provision for Lateral entry admission in B.Tech.

Dear Axel,
For lateral entry 10 % seats of total seats are reserved for lateral entry students. For that you have to appear in LEET exam and get a good rank.

It's a very difficult question since no data is available about number of students seeking admission via LEET vis a vis seats available in engineering colleges in your state.
But what I know of my own knowledge is that competition is quite tough for LEET. But then where there is a will there is a way.
