As you have a 2-year Diploma in ophthalmic assistance, you can take lateral entry in courses like a bachelor's degree in optometry or any course related to this field. You need to keep in mind that all institutions don't have this facility of lateral entry, so you need to look for the institutes offering lateral entry courses first. After that, you can fill out the application form from the official website of the institution you are going to and give the information regarding your diploma. Taking lateral entry will allow you to enter the second year of the programme you are choosing.

Assuming that the term "Jadav University" pertains to Jadavpur University in Kolkata, Chemical Engineering lateral entry seats through the JELET (Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry) are limited.

The B.Tech programme for this branch has around 10-15 lateral entry seats against a total intake of ~105 (first-year seats). This number varies each year according to any number of vacancies that may crop up and is confirmed during counseling.

No, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) generally does not allow lateral entry into the 2nd year of its B.A. (Hons) programs. Admission is on the basis of JNU Entrance Exam (now CUET-UG) at the first year only, which has a structured three-year curriculum. For undergraduate courses at JNU, lateral entry is rare.

In as much as that, the system is inclined towards continuous progression. There may be exceptions for particular cases (such as transfer students) but there was no general late lateral entry policy upto now so, you would have to start from the first year after qualifying via CUET-UG and meeting eligibility (10+2 with 50%+ marks).
