For admission in the BTech Lateral Entry Programme the students are required to appear for the counselling with the Diploma merit and qualifying exam result. The GB Pant University provides the students with this opportunity as a result of which the students with Diploma degree can directly take admission in the third semester of the BTech course.

In order to receive lateral entry admission to the CSE branch at the Gandhi Institute of Technology, you need to be qualified according to the institute's admission eligibility criteria, which usually consists of a Diploma in relevant field or completion of first year B.Tech programme at a university that is recognized.
