M.A Eligibility

For admission to IGNOU college for MA (Master of Arts) courses, students must at least secure 50% marks in graduation in any discipline from a recognised university in India. You'll get various specializations of MA at IGNOU, from English, Hindi, Political Science, to Mass Communication, Drawing & Painting, Economics, and Arabic. 

The exact MA course eligibility is to have a bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline. Though these disciplines also depend on the MA subject you choose. Apart from this, you will need to check the minimum marks required by your desired college. Because marks and entrance exam scores can differ depending on the individual college. 

A candidate is eligible to appear for the DCJ entrance exam if:

• He/she has passed the Bachelors Degree in any specialisation form MU or any other recognised university by the University of Mumbai.
• He/she has submitted the DCJ exam application form of the Department of Communication and Journalism,  along with the statement of purpose and two testimonials as prescribed by the university.

For MA admissions in India, you'll need to have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university; that's the one prime condition. After this, there are percentage-related requirements, which can vary depending on the colleges. Also, there can be 5% relaxation for other categories like SC/ST/OBC. Moreover, most colleges accept or conduct entrance exams for MA-level courses. 

International students willing to take admission to MA in UK must have UG degree in relevant stream from recognised university and show English language proficiency. Students coming from other countries must submit some documents such as academic transcript, LOR, SOP, CV may appear for interview. They can choose specializations such as International Relations, English Literature, History and Cultural Studies, Media and Communication, Economics, and Development Studies.

Sri Venkateswara University asks the candidates to have a Bachelor's degree in the concerned subject to be considered eligible for MA. The degree should be from a recognised university. A minimum percentage, as per the specialisation, can be asked. Final-year graduation students are also eligible to apply provisionally.

According to the official website of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, the selection criteria for admission to M.A. in Communication through CAP Test entrance exam is Online Interview. The institute opens its registration forms on the website at applypg.amrita.edu/home.

There's a percentage relaxation for reserved category students in DU for an MA Sanskrit program. Though it can vary depending on the college, the general relaxation given to categories is
OBC/CW/PwBD: 5%
SC/ST: 5%

The eligibility requirements for the integrated BA + MA in Economics at the Central University of Tamil Nadu are almost similar to those for the BA (Hons) courses. Therefore, applicants are required to complete their Class 12 from any stream with decent scores and must have secured valid scores in CUET UG scores. Moreover, at the time of filling out the BA application form, candidates are required to select the integrated MA in Economics course.
