Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai usually releases the application form for VITMEE in January and concludes the VITMEE exam in April. Candidates willing to take admission in M.Tech at VIT, Chennai must take this entrance exam, which is VIT's own entrance exam. The candidate should have a minimum of 60% aggregate in BTech to apply for VITMEE, also students need to prepare well for the exam described above to become eligible for the counselling process followed by document verification and fee payment.

Candidates willing to take admission in M.Tech at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) must take this entrance exam. Candidates get selected based on the rank they secured in VITMEE. No, the university selects candidates for M.Tech course based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility requirements to apply for M.Tech course. Aspirants must pass bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology in the concerned discipline with at least 60% aggregate to apply for the M.Tech course.
