A valid GATE score is required for admission to the M.Tech programme in the case of regular (non-sponsored) candidates. The requirement of GATE score is waived off for the candidates with MBBS degree as well as for the BTech graduates from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last two years in BTech. Additionally, A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (four-year programme) or a master's degree in Science with marks/ CPI not below the specified minimum is required for M.Tech admission.

During the online admission process or centralised admission process, to ensure that students really want to take admission, the system except tuition fees and then only confirms the admission of student in that institute. However, at the time of admission different institutes charge many types of charges which are covered under different heads. Each institute has different heads for charging students some minor amounts. If you just speak to the administrative staff of the college in which you have taken admission they will tell you in detail what these charges are so that you will be satisfied.

MTech programme is offered in eight specialisations at NIT Andhra Pradesh namely Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Computer Science and Data Analytics, Advanced Communication Systems and Signal Processing, Thermal Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.

At last interview is conducted by MIT College of Management-WPU. The fees for M.Tech at MIT College of Management is 3.8L. and the duration of the course is of 2 years . For selection of candidate in these programme depends on the merit of PERA score /GATE score or MIT WPU score. GATE is one of the exams accepted by MIT College of Management for M.Tech followed by a merit interview which is conducted by MIT- WPU.
