It depends upon which course you want to pursue in mathematics. See, different IITs provide different Master's programs in mathematics. So you have to check the eligibility required for each of it. To check the eligibility criteria you can visit: https://www.eduncle.com/iit-jam-exam

Good question. M.Sc in mathematics deals mainly with abstract mathematics. Like modern algebra, real analysis etc. which has no real use in the life. On the other hand, applied mathematics deals with the mathematics which is used in physics, chemistry and engineering etc. In other words, used somewhere.

There are many courses after 12th for commerce with maths students. But it depends on your interest level. Few of the courses are BBA, BMS, BAF, BFM, B.Com, CA, etc. Decide accordingly. Thank you.

Hello,
It's nice to know that you have completed your Mechanical Engineering recently. Now what should do? You have two choices. Firstly go for PG in a suitable field in engineering. Alternatively go for MBA. Former will take you on the path of becoming a technocrat while later will take you on the path of managing. It actually depends on one's passion and skill sets acquired. Both paths require different sets. And then there is passion! I would advise you to follow path of your passion.
