Hi Shameem,
No, the nature of both the exam is quite different. There is a totally different approach and strategy needed for these two examinations. The standard of CAT is any day higher than and Bank PO/SSC examination. So, the bank coaching will not be able to fetch you higher percentile in CAT, at max just clearing your basics.

Hi Abha,
The eligibility criteria for CAT 2017 is as following:
1. Applicants should hold a Bachelors Degree with minimum 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA awarded by a recognised university or educational institute as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

The cutoff varies every year according to the number of students applying for examination and number of seats available. It would be advisable that you get in touch with college authorities/official page directly for accurate cutoff.

Hi Akash,
Yes, your past academic scores do not matter for admission into FMS Delhi.
As long as you score a very high in CAT percentile, you can surely get admission into FMS Delhi.

The dates for CAT are still not out. The exam generally happens in late November though.

There is no specific required time for preparation. It depends from person to person and his/her ability to grasp concepts.
For majority students, I'd recommend joining a one year program at a proper coaching center. It typically starts around August, September and coaches you till the exam next year.
Make sure that you give all their mock tests and analyze the results as well (where you went right, where you went wrong). That always help you find your strengths and weaknesses and thus tackle your main exam accordingly.

No. Calculator is not allowed in the CAT exam. However, you get an on-screen calculator that you can use. Having said that, CAT questions are generally framed in a way where you won't really required using a calculator.
