Hi Dip,
There is no particular strategy or timing for the CAT examination. It depends on how good are you at different sections of the examination. Generally, a person who is good at QA and verbal ability will require less time to prepare.

Hi Sanchi,
FMS accepts only CAT score.
You have to apply to the college in October - November window and interview calls will be rolled out in March after the CAT result is out.
Keep checking the official website at www.fms.edu for updates and detailed information regarding admission.

Hi Ipsita,
There is no standard strategy for CAT exam. It depends on how prepared you are for different sections and what level you are. Some students are already good with QA and RC, so they work on verbal and might take less time to prepare. So, it will depend on your basic standard in the different section of the exam.

First of all, you need to understand the syllabus:
This is a useful tip for almost any exam. Understand the syllabus by going through past years papers and official guidelines. CAT can be segmented into four broad parts-
Quantitative Ability
Data Interpretation
Logical Reasoning
Verbal Ability
The concepts used in this examination are broadly of class 10 level. However, the questions are little bit tricky to solve and require good amount of logical thinking. But it can be developed by practice.
