For getting a call from IIM Jammu, the minimum percentile required can depend on year-wise data. As per the trends, the cutoff percentile required is exceeding every year as there is fierce competition among students for admission to IIMs. Particularly for IIM Jammu cutoff 2023, the overall cutoff percentile required to get admission to the MBA course through the Common Admission Test (CAT) is 95. This is the minimum qualifying cutoff to get an interview call for WAT/GD-PI. Students who want to enrol in the MBA, MCA, or M.Tech programmes at Madras University must pass TANCET. Candidates must achieve a minimum percentile that is more than or equal to the university's required cutoff. Students must retrieve their scorecards from TANCET's official website when the cutoff is announced, check to see if they meet the cutoff set by Madras University, and then continue with TANCET counselling.

The qualifying CAT cutoff of IIM Jammu is the minimum percentile that candidates must score to be eligible for an interview call for WAT/GD-PI, while the final CAT cutoff is the percentile that candidates must obtain to participate in the WAT/GD-PI round. The former is released with the admission criteria of the institute before the CAT exam while the latter is released after the declaration of CAT result. A few more differences between the two are tabulated below:
