The opening and closing ranks for NLU Patiala 2024 for BA LLB ( Hone) is expected to be 537 and 1082, respectively for the CLAT Round 1 Seat Allotment results. In case of LLM, NLU Patiala opening and closing ranks for CLAT R1 is expected to be 239 and 877. The aforementioned cutoff is estimated from the last year ranks for General All India category for Vertical Reservation. NLU Patiala admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses is based on valid CLAT scores, followed by CLAT counselling. NLU Patiala Cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 5.

The NLU Patiala students have to undergo an internship at the end of each semester. The first-year students have to join NGOs for four weeks duration. Further, the second-year students undergo training with judges and lawyers at the district level. Additionally, third-year students undergo training at the High Courts and Hon'ble Supreme Court. In addition to this, the fourth and fifth-year students have to go for training for six weeks. Crawford Bayley and Co., Anand and Anand, J. Sagar Associates, and Luthra & Luthra Law Offices are some of the top Law firms that offer training to RGNUL students.

As per the latest report, 31 students were placed during the 2023 drive. Earlier, 40 students were placed during the 2022 placements.
