No, the SSC CGL document verification is not done by the Commission. The document verification process is conducted by the respective department in which the candidates will be posted.
The Staff Selection Commission outsourced the SSC CGL document verification to the indented departments. This was done to expedite the process of SSC CGL recruitment process.

SSC CGL exam has no interview in the exam process. There are two tiers in the SSC CGL exam and the candidates need to appear and clear both tiers. After that, the document verification will be carried at the department of appointment. This reduced the time of the exam process and expedited the exam process.
