The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is different from Tier 2 exam. The SSC CGL exam pattern can fully explain the difference. The candidates should note that the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam consists of four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning. General Awareness. Quantitative Aptitude. English Comprehension.

Yes, the candidates should note that the salary to all the employees serving in the SSC CGL posts/services is provided by the Government of India. On March 7, 2024, the Government of Indian increased the DA of the central government employees. As per the Government order, the DA in now increased to 50 % of the basic pay.
This hike in DA will be applicable to the TA component of the salary too. This hike in DA component will be applicable from January 1, 2024.

The candidates downloaded the SSC CGL 2025 notification PDF online from ssc.gov.in. The SSC CGL notification 2025 PDF was released on June 9, 2025. The application process started with the release of notification, and the last date to apply online was July 4, 2025.
The SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam was conducted from September 12 to 26. The SSC CGL 2025 admit card was released on September 9.

SSC CGL 2024 recruitment will start with the release of official notification. The Commission is expected to release the final result after the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam. The SSC CGL Tier 1 result is expected in October/November 2024. In December, the Commission will conduct the SSC CGL 2024 exam and in March 2025, the SSC CGL 2024 recruitment will end.
The Commission will release the SSC CGL cutoff for every stage of the exam for each category.

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 notification on its official website. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 application link with the official notification. The candidates will be required to fill out the SSC CGL application online on the official website - ssc.nic.in.
The last date to apply for the SSC CGL 2024 exam is July 24, 2024.

Yes, the Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL 2023 Option-cum-Preference form for all the candidates who appeared in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam on October 26/27. The Commission released a notice on its official website mentioning the same. The candidates can get the Service Preference form from November 18 to 23.
The candidates can edit their service preference during the above said period. The candidates who do not submit their service preference will not be alloted any post in the result. The Commission will analys the posts available to the candidates based on their category and them prepare and release the SSC CGL 2023

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL Main Answer Key 2023 (tentative) on October 30. The candidates were asked to submit their objections (with the fee of INR 100) till November 1. The Commission conducted the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam 2023 on October 26 and 27.
The Commission will consider the valid objections and in case of the objection found valid, the Commission will refund such collected fee.
