A GRE sample paper is helpful for students. Because, it gives you a clear idea of the GRE exam pattern, question types, and difficulty level. Also, it helps you practice time management, identify your strengths and weaknesses. Regular practice with sample papers also reduces the stress which you will feel on exam day and improves your chances of scoring higher.

International students interested in fianncial aids at MIT follow very much the same process as domestic applicants. MIT is known for offering 100% scholarships that too on a need-basis, to eligible students.

There are two methods to apply to a MIT scholarship:

  • Via CSS Profile:  The College board provides a tool that gauges whether a student is eligible for a MIT scholarship or not
  • Income or Parental Tax return document: A English translated version of your parent's tax return is to be submitted through the IDOC platform managed by the College Board.

You should focus on both the sections of GRE. Before you start preparing check your knowledge for both sections. If one or both are weak them prepare plan accordingly. But practice everyday.

Start 3 to 4 months before your university applications are due. Take a diagnostic test first to establish a baseline. Then schedule your exam at least 2 months before your earliest application deadline to allow for retakes.

Simple Breakdown:

  1. Learning: You need 3 months to learn the math and words.

  2. Safety Net: You need 1 extra month just in case your first score is bad and you need to retake it.

Bottom line: Do not wait. Register for exam now to give yourself a deadline.

Applicants need to have a valid passport at the time of making slot for GRE exam. Ensure your name on the ETS account matches your passport exactly. Other than this, no other government photo ID will not be valid for GRE exam.

No, the GRE is not typically required for pursuing postgraduate (PG) medical degrees abroad. In short, GRE is required for non-clinical post graduate programs.

Countries and universities usually have specific entrance exams. For example

  • USA: Requires the MCAT (not GRE).
  • UK: Requires exams like UCAT or PLAB exam.
