1) You must be of Indian origin.
2) A graduation degree from a recognized university.
3) A B.Ed degree is also mandatory.
4) At least 50 percent marks.
5) There is no age limit to appear for the exam.
TGT Eligibility criteria:
Candidate should be complete graduation or any equivalent degree with at least of 50% marks.
Candidate should be a citizen of India.
The minimum age is 21 years and there is no maximum age limit.

No, it is not compulsory. To apply for B.Ed, you can do Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Bachelor in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university.
