As per U.S. News rankings, the University of North Texas ranking is #208 in 2026 in the National Universities edition. In the previous year's ranking, this university ranked at #220. This shows that in the National Universities ranking, UNT's rank has improved. Also, it is placed at #34 in the Top Performers Social Mobility category.

UNT Denton is a NCAA Division I member. There are 16 NCAA Division I teams of this university. Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball, Men's Basketballhave won the major championships recently. There are 45 club sports options at UNT, ranging from Archery to Rugby. Also, to maintain the fitness, students can check out the Pohl Rec Center.

UNT Denton is located in Denton, a town that is 36 miles north of Dallas-Fort Worth. There are more than 450 student organizations at this university. Also, UNT hosts a number of events such as Union Fest, University Day, and more. There is one Rec Center at UNT Denton which students can utilize.

Yes, infact the University of North Texas is ranked well in 2026 QS rankings as well. As per the Quacquarelli Symonds Rankings, UNT has been ranked #901 in 2026. The ranking has remained constant at #1001 in 2024 and 2025. The subject rankings for 2025 are not released by the ranking body. As per the 2024 rankings, the UNT is among the top 50 ranked courses for Performing Arts, Education, and Arts and Humanities. There are many courses offered by the University of North Texas are among the top 50 ranked courses.

As per the US World and News rankings, the University of North Texas was ranked at #208 for the year 2026. This ranking was awarded under the category of National University.

As per the US News and World Report National Rankings 2026, the University of North Texas has been ranked at #208. Also, this shows that the university ranking has improved from #220 in 2025.
