The Lucknow University provides residential facilities to all the teachers, students, and non-teaching staff. The university houses as many as 15+ hostels for boys and girls in the university with Kailash Hall and Nivedita Hall which can house almost 500+ female students. Lucknow University spreads over 219.01 acre of land and has a yoga centre, child care centre, students' hostels, guest houses, canteens, health and medical centre, a big library, sports facilities (indoor and outdoor sports facilities), and others. There are three types of libraries namely Tagore Library, Cyber Library, and Cooperative Lending Library. Tagore Library is the main research library of the University of Lucknow.

Lucknow University got affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the year 1921. It is also affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and Distance Education Council (DEC). Some other accreditations include the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), and Bar Council of India (BCI). Established in 1920, Lucknow University is a public state university. The University of Lucknow offers over 100 courses at the UG and PG levels. Lucknow University has 9 faculties, including Arts, Unani, Ayurveda, Engineering and Technology, Commerce, Education, Fine Arts, Science, and Law.

Lucknow University offers scholarships to meritorious and financially weak students. The university offers two scholarships to students under Student Welfare Fund namely Chhatra Kalyan Scholarship and Karmyogi Scheme. Candidates can apply for the same and get rebate in the fee of the respective courses. The fee structure of Lucknow University for the BTech course is INR 4.8 lakh. The University of Lucknow offers a four-year full-time BTech programme covering five specialisations. Lucknow University BTech admission is based on a valid JEE Main score, followed by AKTU Counselling. Lucknow University also offers lateral entry to this course. BTech lateral entry admission is done on the basis of the UPSEE score. It is suggested that candidates must apply for JEE Main at the earliest.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to B.Pharma at Lucknow University is 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) at the 12th level. However, the university also considers other factors such as your performance in the entrance exam and your academic record.

With an aggregate of 65%, you may be able to get admission to a B.Pharma programme at Lucknow University, but it is not guaranteed. Your chances of getting admission will depend on the number of seats available and the performance of other applicants.

For B.Pharma admission at Lucknow University, candidates must appear for the Lucknow University B.Pharma Entrance Exam (LUPEE). The LUPEE is a state-level entrance exam that is held every year for admission to B.Pharma programs offered by the university.

Both the universities have their own pros and cons.

1. VIT is an old and an established university. Due to this, companies in the fortune 500 group also visit the campus for recruitment.
2. SNU is a new university with a totally revised, updated and industry-ready curriculum. Only those courses which matter and have an impact are included in your syllabus.
3. Since VIT is pretty old, it has tie-ups from more foreign universities.
4. Although SNU is pretty new, it has achieved so much in 6 years that other universities only dream of.
5. Admission in SNU is based completely on your merit. No management or any other quota can get you in.
6. SNU accepts a very small number of students each year. As a result, you won’t be lost in the crowd. If you are good at something, you will be able to showcase it.
7. Each and every student getting admission in SNU is given some scholarship (based on your board result).
8. The fees for the same course in VIT is twice as much as in SNU. (Why pay so much more when you are getting to learn the same thing? )
