Because the XAT is a post-graduate course test, the minimum eligibility requirement is a bachelor's degree. There is no minimum graduation mark needed for XAT. All that is required of an applicant is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field from a university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Students who are in their last year of their bachelor's degree or are awaiting their results are also eligible to take the XAT test. Working professionals with a bachelor's or master's degree, as well as those with professional degrees (CA/CS), are eligible to apply.

The application cost for XAT 2024 is INR 2,100. The cost has been raised by INR 100 from the previous session (the fee for XAT 2023 was INR 2,000). The XAT cost must be paid online at the time applications are submitted. The cost is the same for all types of candidates. Unlike other MBA entrance tests, there is no refund for applicants from the Reserved category in XAT. If you choose XLRI on the application form, you will have to pay an extra INR 200.

For successful registration, the application cost must be paid before the deadline.

Candidates seeking admission to XLRI Jamshedpur do not need to complete a separate application. The XAT application form 2024 will feature a box for candidates to specify the XLRI course in which they wish to enroll.

On July 15, 2023, the XAT 2024 registration and application procedure was made available. The application period will be open until December 30, 2023. Previously, the deadline was November 30, 2023. Candidates may submit their application forms till 11:59 p.m. on the deadline date. On July 14, 2023, XLRI Jamshedpur announced the application deadline for XAT 2024.

XLRI Jamshedpur sends an email to each candidate informing them of their selection. The interview phase takes place in February-March, and successful applicants get offer letters in April-May. Those who do not get the confirmation letter may believe they have been rejected for admission. Candidates should keep an eye on their emails. They must also continue to examine spam folders.
