The NeXT Exam is conducted in two separate segments knows as ‘Steps’ in the online mode. The NExT Step 1 is a theoretical examination consisting of six papers. NExT Step 2 is a Practical / Clinical and Viva Voce examination covering seven clinical subjects or disciplines. The qualifying cutoff marks in NExT Step 1 will be calculated as whole number which will be considered as a Raw Scores with appropriate decimals and subsequently corresponding Percentages. The minimum marks for passing in NeXT are 50% or half of the maximum possible Raw for NExT Step 1.
The college offers M.B.B.S admissions based on candidates’ performance in the NEET-UG examination. It is one of four AIIMS declared by India's Ministry of Healthcare and Family Welfare (MHFW) and has been approved by the Medical Council of India.

The minimum required score to be admitted is a passing grade of at least 50% in 10+2 from an accredited board. AIIMS Bathinda admits students based on their NEET exam performance; a score of 600 or higher is preferred for admission to this esteemed college. The cutoff score is reportedly approximately 550.
