The NeXT Exam is conducted in two separate segments knows as ‘Steps’ in the online mode. The NExT Step 1 is a theoretical examination consisting of six papers. NExT Step 2 is a Practical / Clinical and Viva Voce examination covering seven clinical subjects or disciplines. The qualifying cutoff marks in NExT Step 1 will be calculated as whole number which will be considered as a Raw Scores with appropriate decimals and subsequently corresponding Percentages. The minimum marks for passing in NeXT are 50% or half of the maximum possible Raw for NExT Step 1.

The college offers M.B.B.S admissions based on candidates’ performance in the NEET-UG examination. It is one of four AIIMS declared by India's Ministry of Healthcare and Family Welfare (MHFW) and has been approved by the Medical Council of India. 

NEET-UG results are accepted by AIIMS Bathinda for admission to its B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing program. The minimum required score to be admitted is a passing grade of at least 50% in 10+2 from an accredited board.
