The university is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). Further, Distance Education Council (DEC) accorded Ex-Post Facto has approved over 100 distance courses of the university. Hence, Alagappa University B.Ed distance degree is valid. 

Alagappa University conducts an entrance exam to select candidates for B.Ed programme. The entrance test is conducted at Karaikudi only. Once the results are out, aspirants are selected based on their score in the entrance exam. The university then offers seats to the selected candidates.

Alagappa University is a public university in Tamil Nadu and strives to provide quality higher education to students. The flagship courses at the university like BSc and MBA have separate fee structures which the students can check by visiting the official website.
