Ambedkar University Delhi, Karampura Scholarships and Funding

It is the stated policy of the University that no deserving applicant, as far as possible, is denied the opportunity of studying at Dr. BR Ambedkar University Delhi merely due to her/his inability to pay the fees. To implement this a comprehensive fee-waiver policy is adopted. The University offers full and partial tuition fee-waivers to students who are in need of support given their economic background. Students with an annual family income of less than Rs. 6 Lakhs will be considered for tuition fee-waiver. The gross annual family income ceiling (slab-wise) for availing tuition fee-waiver from the economically backward students (other than SC, ST and PwD), is given below:

Slab -1 100% Tuition Fee waiver Rs 3 Lakh or below
Slab -2 75% Tuition Fee waiver Rs 4 Lakh or below, but more than Rs 3 lakh
Slab -3 50% Tuition Fee waiver Rs 5 Lakh or below, but more than Rs 4 lakh
Slab -4 25% Tuition Fee waiver Rs 6 Lakh or below, but more than Rs 5 lakh
The University extends full waiver of tuition fees to all students belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories:

Procedure for Applying for Fee-waiver At the time of admission, a student can apply for tuition fee-waiver by submitting supporting documents as below:

SC/ST/PwD students

Self-undertaking for availing the fee waiver prescribed by the Student Services division.

Economically-backward students

Income certificate issued by Tehsildar/Subdivisional Magistrate of the current financial year.

University gives merit-based scholarships to students. Applications for these scholarships are invited in each semester.

The first thing I liked about the university is the faculty,

Placements: Students become eligible for placements from their 3rd year. Companies like Accenture and Cognizant have visited, and offers made are average of 6-7 LPA and the highest package of this year was 44 LPA. The highest package: is 44 LPA, and the average package is 6-7 LPA. 80% of students got placed in a product-based company, like Flipkart, or Amazon.

From quiet halls to DIY fun.

Placements: The placement cell is now being made by the college for our course. Despite making a committee, there are no internships provided by the committee. You can easily get an internship as a paralegal under an advocate while or after completing is degree. You can also work in policy-making and work as a think tank.

Faculty, staff, security, and safety are excellent.

Placements: On successful completion of the programme, a student will be able to, show a good grasp of basic sectoral knowledge to work effectively as skilled urban practitioners. Examine current urban technologies by looking at their design, interests they serve, how they are controlled, and how they can support democracy. Get placed in sustainability departments at different MNCs, one of which is McKinsey. Comprehend and represent the world through numbers, narratives, maps, and visualizations.

Satisfied with college. Course curriculum is good and practical.

Placements: Since this is a new course that is being introduced by the BR Ambedkar College. My course name is M.A. in public policy and governance. It is the first batch in this college. There are no placements. But the top roles that are offered in our course are for policy-making decisions and for posts in government offices like Niti Aayog.

Journey of Ups and Downs - "College Life"

Placements: There is no as such placement cell in our campus but the faculty is very good and we are also taught about Interdisciplinary course. They sometimes offer internship. The students have to find out companies and field from themselves only. The college doesn't provide placement.

If you want to take opportunity of internship I've said above then definitely go for it.

Placements: This is a course where you learn the B.Com (Hons) syllabus but in a practical way, which means this college will provide an internship under CAs, which means you should do an internship of 2 months after completion of the 1st year, and it's compulsory. If you don't do it, they can't provide your degree to you at the end of the 3rd year.
